Mission Statement 

Our mission is to reach, teach, and disciple youth in Jesus Christ, enabling them to fully develop their God-given gifts and talents, equipping them to humbly serve the Lord, and preparing and empowering them to positively impact others and grow Christ’s church (Proverbs 22:6) . 

Vision Statement 

Our vision is to become an established and trusted resource for youth so that they might learn to live life governed by faith in Jesus Christ, that they might grow in Christ through sound Bible-based instruction, and that they might understand their responsibility to work for Christ’s church through evangelism & service to others

Core Values & Beliefs 
 

1.                  We believe that the Bible is the true Word of God, that is a source of guidance and wise instruction, and that in it lies the keys to life, health, joy and prosperity (Hebrews 4:12). 
 

2.                  We believe that God’s grace offers mankind the opportunity for salvation, that salvation comes through confession of sin and acknowledgement of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and that salvation is the only way to right-standing with God and eternal life (Romans 10:9-10). 

3.                  We believe that God mandates that His church provide all children with Bible-centered guidance and instruction as the foundation for their growth and development as they navigate the road toward adulthood (Proverbs 22:6). 
 

4.                  We believe that the Emmanuel Baptist Church and its Youth Ministry have been commissioned by God to offer encouragement, hope, and guidance to all through the love of Jesus Christ and the teachings of the Scriptures (Colossians 1:25,28). 
  

Principle Elements 
 

1.                  Anointed, experienced and capable leadership grounded in Jesus Christ and the Word of God and fully committed to the ministry’s mission and God’s mandate to His church regarding ministering to children and meeting the full scope of their needs. 

2.                  Carefully selected Christ-centered preachers, teachers, and other ministry staff who are fully committed to addressing the often complex needs of children and equally determined to ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for their growth and development. 

3.                  Innovative, Bible-based programs that promote the full physical, spiritual, and emotional development of children.

Compliance Statement

This ministry is in compliance with all required Commonwealth of Pennsylvania     criminal history screening procedures—all ministry leadership, staff, and guest facilitators will have completed this required documentation prior to interaction with youth.   All Youth Ministry staff receive on-going training on youth ministry and evangelism strategies.
